10/21 : Kenneth Sheu (Hwang-Cherng Sheu) (kenneth.sheu@platinum.com)

Dear Sirs,

I do appreciate all of your glorious contributions and great efforts to build and to maintain this web site for the world. You are great "Poo-Sah".

Through your web site I am able to find lots of papers on "Wei-Shih" field. It helps me so much in my studying of sutras.

I left Taiwan for over 19 years. I survived in this country by working as a software developer. Even I owned a copy of "Ryou-Zu-Tan-Jin" in 1969, I started to study hard in sutras from 1987. I always kept the first Buddhist book with me since my uncle (my mother's young brother) gave it to me as the gift for my acceptance to university in 1969.

I have some dream to build a web site for people who like to chant sutras like karaoke. The screen shows Kanji or Taiwanese characters for the selected sutra and audio options provide chanting sound. I do not have softwares to develope in Kanji or Taiwanese. Do you know any institutes or schools have this service in Taiwan ? Please let me know.

All of my Taiwanese friends want to pray for our disastrous earthquake. We made some contributions for the earthquake, we do wish to involve more efforts to assist our home land. I appreciated my company, Computer Associates, saved one week of breakfasts from all employees (17,000 people) to contribute to Taiwan.

I am sorry to write the mail in English. I do not have Kanji softwares so far. By the way I would like to tell you my name in Kanji. My last name is "Sheu" : for many things, "Yen Woo Sheu", "Kho" in Taiwanese. My first name is "Hwang-Cherng". "Hwang" is "Bai Wang" for empeor.

"Cherng" is "Too Cherng" for city.

Thanks for your time to read my e-mail.

Have a nice and safe week.

Sincerely,

Hwang-Cherng

from Richmond, Virginia, USA

Thank you very much for the good work. Please let me know when you have the whole Buddhist sutra treasure available on CD-ROM.
